Founded in 1986, the Dr. Rogério Horta Eye Institute aims to offer its patients the most modern and efficient services in existence in the field of ophthalmology. Besides its staff of highly qualified professionals, the Institute has acquired the latest state-of-the-art medical equipment.

The highly educated and qualified staff keeps up with the latest developments in eye care by giving lectures and courses as well as participating in conferences and forums in Brazil and abroad. They are members of the SBO ( Brazilian Ophthalmologists Society ), CBO (Brazilian Ophthalmic Council ), SBCII (Brazilian Cataract Society and Intraocular Implants), ASCRS (American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery), ESCRS (European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery) and AAO (American Academy of Ophthalmology).

Our objective is to offer quality services in order to meet our patients’ needs. The use of cutting edge technology to establish precise medical diagnoses leads to a quick recovery.

From its foundation to the present day, over 12.000 patients have been operated on, in the clinic.

At the Dr. Rogerio Horta Eye Institute we do comprehensive eye exams aiming at early detection and correction of visual problems, as well as Ophthalmic Surgeries.

In Ipanema, we are located in Garcia D’Àvila street. There are 02 doctor’s offices, 02 eye exam rooms and a Surgical center approved by local authorities. There is also a commission for controlling hospital infections (CCIH).We are proud to announce that because of the measures we haven’t had any cases of hospital infection. Here we have also parking spaces with valet parking.

In Méier, there are two doctor’s offices, 01 eye exam room and a big reception area, in order to accommodate patients comfortably. Located in the Mesbla building, it is easy to find and to get to. Parking spaces nearby.
